10x food and drinks during the Street Art Walk in Leeuwarden

The city centre of Leeuwarden is a great place to eat and drink. On our Street Art Map, we have therefore also put ten places that we think you, as a Street Art lover, will appreciate.

Fer is Farid’s take-away coffee shop and you should definitely check it out. First of all, Farid is just a really nice guy who is easy to talk to. Secondly, he not only sells great coffee, but also everything that makes you happy, such as pussy cards, studio turbo prints or a luminous smiley face. Location: Wirdumerdijk 30A

In de Brouwerij is located in a very nice historic building that they have recently renovated. You can stop by here for breakfast, lunch, dinner and, on weekends, live music until the wee hours of the morning, in addition to a home-brewed beer! Inside, there are also some new murals.
Location: Zaailand 94

Grand Café Post-Plaza is located in Leeuwarden’s old post office. And you can see this everywhere down to the smallest details. They also have a very nice mural inside. You can also dine at the Grand Café or drop in for a special beer or glass of wine. Location: Tweebaksmarkt 27,

Located in the Blokhuispoort, Bajes Streetfood Club is located on the 2nd air yard of this former prison. Inside you imagine yourself in Asian atmospheres and outside you can chill out on the terrace. Especially in summer, you imagine yourself in a festival atmosphere here. They have built a whole beach here in the courtyard. Location: Blokhuisplein 40

Tosti Club is the place if you don’t want to make it too difficult to grab a quick bite. The menu has some standard sandwiches, but you can also create your own. Don’t forget to try their own sauce. Location: Nieuwestad 137

La Veneziais a household name in Leeuwarden. When the weather is nice, there is often a long queue at the door, which is of course for a reason, as they have been making the tastiest ice cream in Leeuwarden here since 1934. Location: Nieuweburen 137,

Banhs & Boba is a Vietnamese lunch spot halfway down the Street Art Route in the city centre. They have been selling really tasty Bubble Tea here for years. A Banh Mi sandwich is also highly recommended and the Vietnamese coffee with sweet condensed milk is an experience. Location: Tuinen 23

Bowls ‘n Rolls has delicious poke bowls where you can choose all the ingredients yourself or try one of their tasty combinations. Also the only restaurant in Leeuwarden where you can sit on a swing while eating.
Location: Groentemarkt 1

DE Café sits on the corner of Doelesteeg and Ruiterskwartier. Both Street Art routes take you past it. Perfect place to get something to-go.  Location: Ruiterskwartier 111

De Markies is Leeuwarden’s number one specialty beer pub with over 250 beers on their menu and 12 different beers on tap. Be sure to try their house beer Grutte Pier. Owners Menno and Michelle helped brew it themselves and are happy to give you advice on all the other beers on their menu. Location: Groot Schavernek 19
