About the Street Art Map Leeuwarden
The Street Art Map is an A3 map with 3 different do-it-yourself routes along the most beautiful street art in Leeuwarden. The information on the map is in Dutch, but you can still use the map even if you don’t speak dutch to hunt the most beautiful street art. Via the QR code on the map, you can also get all the information in English.
Street Art in the City Centre is a walking route through the city centre of Leeuwarden. Here you will discover plenty of street art among the historic buildings. Some of it is a little more hidden and some of it is smaller in size, but it is definitely worth seeing. In the summer of 2025, 30(!) new works were added. This route is 5.5 km long. On the Street Art Cycle Route, you will discover the north and east sides of the city. Here you will find the largest and most beautiful murals in the city, as well as fresh graffiti. This route is 14 km long and you will discover another 40 murals.
On Street Art Cycle Route #2, you will discover the south and west sides of the city. This route is not on the paper map, but you can access it via a QR code on the map. Here you will discover the largest and most beautiful murals in the city, as well as fresh graffiti. The route is 15 km long and passes 40 locations where you will discover almost 80 murals! Paper Map: The paper map with all 3 routes costs only 4 euro and is for sale at: Leeuwarden Visitor Center, Ut Streekie and the Fries Museum. At the Leeuwarden Visitor Centre, you can also purchase the walking route along street art in the city centre separately. This “Leeuwarden Art Route” costs 3 euros.
Download: You can download the route ‘Street Art Cycle Route #2‘ as a PDF version. This printable A4 version of the map costs only 3,50 euro. But the other two routes are not included. If you want all the routes, then buy the paper version.
